Advanced Office Train-the-Trainer Webcast Thursday
February 22, 2006

Hi, everyone! Please join me tomorrow (Thursday, 2-23) for a 90-minute advanced train-the-trainer session on creating complex documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This session will focus on helping your users to utilize the best program for a given task -- in order to spend less time and get better results.

This session is the second in a series of 2, but you DON'T have to have seen the first part in order to feel comfortable in the session tomorrow.

The first part of this train-the-trainer duo covered core Word document production elements -- including teaching Word core concepts, styles, tables, sections, and key concepts to teach for managing graphics in Word.

Tomorrow's session will pick up where that session left off and look at tips and concepts for teaching the last of the principal document production features -- fields. We'll then look at tips for teaching Excel charts and effective number crunching (including how to teach basic PivotTables so that your users can see that they're easy :) -- as well as for teaching users to make effective use of PowerPoint when they need presentation graphics in their documents. If time permits without taking away from another topic, I'll also spend a few minutes on OneNote documents.

The focus behind all of tomorrow's tips will be to help your users find the simplest solution and take advantage of features they might not know they can use so easily.

Advanced train-the-trainer tips for Office Documents
Thursday, February 23rd, beginning at 9am Pacific, 12p Eastern. 90 minutes long.

Please keep in mind that, if you haven't attended a LiveMeeting event in awhile (or ever before), sign in a few minutes early for the event tomorrow, because you might be prompted to install or update LiveMeeting. It's free, of course, but does take a few minutes.

Also, if you have trouble getting sound when in the LiveMeeting, just post a request for the toll-free dial-in number, using the Question & Answer panel in LiveMeeting. Then watch that panel, as the producer will post the number back to you so that you can listen by phone.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow! Meanwhile, Happy Wednesday :)
