I also want to add one more OneNote tip that I was reminded of this weekend by a fellow member of the die-hard OneNote fan club... this tip is about audio notes.
I love the fact that I can record audio notes right from OneNote and they're saved automatically with the applicable notebook page. But -- the greatest thing about them is that you can play back your recording in context.
So, for example -- record a meeting while you take notes. You can then play back what was being said at the moment when you took a particular note. It is SO cool! Here's all you do ...
When you start playback on your audio recording - click in the left margin beside the note for which you want to hear audio. You'll see the audio icon -- click it and the audio will move right to that point in the recording. If you've never used this feature, you have to give it a try!

With everything I've been up to recently, I haven't had much chance to get a OneNote dialog going on this blog yet -- but I would love to do that. Please comment here on your favorite OneNote features -- or ask any OneNote question you like...
And one more tip for the tech writers among you ... I have a section in my OneNote notebook for screen clippings. I love the screen clipping feature in OneNote (on the Insert menu). Even if you use screen capture software, you might want to give this a try. This feature is so fast and easy and a huge improvement over simple Print Screen functionality in Windows. When you use OneNote's screen clipping feature, you save steps and automatically get your clipping saved. It's also in your clipboard, so once you take the clipping with OneNote, you don't have to do anything else to switch back to Word (or wherever you're writing) and just paste. Very nice. The only thing you still need screen capture software for is including mouse action in screen shots.
