Thanks to Everyone Who Attended Today's Webcast! ... and Some Additional Resource Links
March 24, 2005

Just a quick post to say thank you to everyone who took time to attend today's webcast! And, I wanted to post a few helpful links that I mentioned during the event, as well as links to those additional free resources that I reviewed...

Some articles from this blog:

Word Philosophy 101 - for a review of basics
Learning to Love Word Tables - In a Nutshell - basics for working effectively with tables
Lesser Known Benefits of Table Styles - if you're new to table styles and want more info on the topic than we covered this morning

In addition to these, use the Search option at the bottom right of this page to look for more info on other tips we covered today. And if you have specific questions on topics we covered today, post a comment and I'll respond as quickly as possible. Please post your comment to this blog post so that everyone else can see the answer, too :)

And keep in mind that, if you have a copy of my book and have installed the tools that come with it ... you can click the HOW DO I button on the toolbars in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint for access to 75 how-to tip sheets and articles covering a wide range of Office document production topics, including all of the tips we talked about today.

Additional Resources:

I wanted to also provide the additional resources links again with a quick bit of background:

Office Online Training - terrific, free online training courses covering the entire Office System. They're brief, self-paced, and totally user-friendly ... check them out! My Word tables courses will be available on this site in a few months - but please don't wait for that! There's a TON of great stuff at Office Online Training available NOW.

Microsoft At Work - great site with a collection of excellent resources from all around microsoft.com as well as a lot of original content ... interesting stuff here for beginners and experts alike. Check out my existing articles on that site covering topics including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, which Office program to use for a given task, and my newest article - Timesaving Tips for Getting Your Work Done: Never Do the Same Work Twice ...

Tools for Your Job - fantastic site with specific resources - articles, templates, and tools - to help with your particular job. Check out their main page to see all of the occupations they cover, and click on their Practice Library on the right side of that page to see all of their available practices at a glance. You'll see content from me appearing on this site as well, in the near future ...

... and a few people from the webcast asked for a reminder of how to get a free trial version of Microsoft Office or a specific Office program -- Click here for direct link to the available trial versions for download or to order CDs (you pay shipping if you order the trial CD, but otherwise it's free -- no cost at all for downloads). By the way -- if you haven't tried OneNote yet -- get yourself a free trial of OneNote while you're at this site ... it's pretty cool! OneNote is a new favorite of mine -- and I'll be writing quite a bit about it in the weeks and months to come ...
