Well, I wasn't actually gone. But I did notice the date of my last post this morning and it appears to be a personal worst for me that I haven't posted in 2 months. I'm very glad that many of you have continued to send Office questions my way even though there weren't current blog posts. But, I have a few tips & tricks posts planned for the next month or so and will be posting more this week with links to some new articles and upcoming webcasts as well.
Just wanted to post something quickly today to say that I am here and do want your questions. And, that more posts are forthcoming ...
As always, I respond to every Office-related question I receive, as long as it's polite. Like other MVPs, I answer questions as a volunteer. All I ask in return is basic courtesy. Those of you who have known my posts and been emailing me for sometime may know that I tend post something like this after getting a really inappropriate email that's a bit disheartening.
So, for the 99.5% of you who are considerate with your mail and absolutely a pleasure to hear from - please keep them coming and PLEASE do not let the following mini-rant in any way stop you from sending your questions :)
... for the other 0.5% of you - in case you're not sure of what constitutes rude: emails to strangers for volunteer help probably shouldn't be marked as urgent, definitely shouldn't include demands, and might even go so far as to acknowledge that you're writing to a human being and not a machine (which means nothing more than a simple hello, please, or thank you - whatever works for you).
Wow, it felt really good to get that out!
Happy Monday, everybody! :)
