Hi, everyone! As I've mentioned before on this blog, I'm writing a series of courses for Office Online Training on the basics of working with the Open XML Formats. I'm delighted to say that the first of these courses - Open XML I: Exploring the Open XML Formats - is now published. This courses introduces the new file formats and provides an introduction to how your Office 2007 documents are structured under-the-hood.

This is a level 300 (advanced) session, in which we'll look at options for roundtripping Open XML Format documents with earlier versions of Office. Level 300 just means that I assume for the purposes of the session that you're an advanced Office user with some experience at least in 2007, so the session will move pretty quickly. But, the session is free and open to everyone - so as long as you don't mind the quick pace, please join us if the subject interests you -- regardless of your Office experience!
Note: If you haven't attended a LiveMeeting session very recently, please login a bit early because you may be prompted to download and install LiveMeeting 2007. It's free, of course, and just takes a few minutes - but the producer provides info at the beginning of each webcast (like a dial-in number in case you have audio trouble, and info on how to ask questions) so it can be helpful to get there on time if you can.
