TO ASK A QUESTION: If you have a question or need help with Office, please feel free to use the 'Click to Contact' link at the bottom of this page. You'll get a form that you can use to email a question to me. (I had been getting a ton of spam when accepting direct emails, so only emails that use this form will get through to me.)
Please be sure to mention the version of Office you are using when you send your question.
I answer all e-mails that I receive via this form, as long as they are polite :)
Since disabling comments on this site, I'm actually hearing from more of you with questions ... so, as it seems people prefer to email rather than comment, I'm going to leave comments disabled. As always, you can ask me any Office-related questions you have. If the question is outside of my expertise, I'll try to direct you to where you can get an answer.
See how it's done ... literally!
Well, I'm very late with this post. It's been a heck of a week! (well, couple of weeks actually) Spent an excellent week out at Microsoft last week ... and have been struggling to catch up on work since I returned.
I got the chance to see lots of great people last week who I don't see often enough ... and learned about some cool tools, resources, etc. that I'll be blogging about over the next week or two.
For starters ... Erika Ehrli, who manages the Office Developer site on MSDN ... introduced me to some incredible resources that the Office Developer site is providing. Whether you're a developer or an advanced Office user crossing over into Open XML and VBA\VB territory - there are so many incredible resources on that site. The one that was news to me is called Visual How-Tos ... each Visual How-To covers a particular task and includes an article, code sample, and a visual demo of the code. Over 100 Visual How-To's are already published and waiting for you to check them out ...
Click here to go to the How-To center on the Office Developer site. You can also check out Erika's blog for more info and something even better ... she created an interactive diagram that you can use to see all topics covered and that you can actually click to go exactly to the topic area you need... check out that post and the diagram here.

I'll blog about more tips and cool tools in the coming weeks ... such as the Open XML Theme Builder tool created by a program manager on the Office team and recently published on Codeplex ... so stay tuned ...
In fact ... here are the next three posts you can expect from me:
1 - My overdue post on document stability topics (aka the gross overuse and misuse of the term 'corrupt') that I promised after running out of time to cover that topic in last week's webcast. That will be my next post - look for it early next week...
2 - A post with additional compatibility issue and Open XML resources as promised to those of you who took the time to attend my presentation yesterday for the NY Word Legal Users Group.
3 - A post about document themes, including information on the above-mentioned cool (and free!) tool ...
Meanwhile - I do believe I'm caught up on answering questions that came in while I was away, so if I didn't answer yours, please resend it as I probably missed it.
Happy Friday and happy weekend everyone!
