I just heard about this a few days ago and just now found out that there's still time (a few days left) to participate, so I thought I'd mention for others who might want to contribute as well... what a lovely thing the girl scouts are doing! Just a small, sweet way to show the troops that people back home appreciate them...

Cost is $3.50\box, no minimum, and no shipping charge... the military bases select what type of cookies they want. You need to contact your local Girl Scout council to make the contribution via credit card - can find them through this site: http://www.girlscoutcookies.org/

If you're in the NYC area, you can also send me an email via the Contact link below and I'll send you the contact info for the NYC representative who replied to my inquiry.

Hi, there. Well, I've just noticed that some perfectly respectable comments\questions posted as comments have been getting junked here recently. Unfortunately, the message when you post has said that your comment is being held for review by the site owner ... but I've not been notified, it's just been junking anything for commenters who aren't authenticated by a typekey identity or something similar.

Anyway - I've tried lowering the junk threshold a bit ... if that doesn't work (that is, if I get spam comments up the wazoo), I'll go back to having some type of screening for real-live humans when you post comments, but i'm just trying to make it as easy as possible to post questions when you have them.

Meanwhile - if you've posted a question in a comment and assumed you were ignored ... I NEVER ignore a request for help unless it's rude (fortunately, a very rare occurrence). Even if I can't help you, I'll always reply with recommended resources.

SO -- if you have asked a question that didn't get posted or answered ... or if you post a question here and don't see it or an answer within a day or so ... PLEASE use the email link at the bottom of this page to let me know that you're trying to get help and aren't getting a reply.

I greatly appreciate you trying to use the comment approach first -- when you post your question in a comment, I can reply where others can also benefit from the response ... but if you don't see your comment and\or a reply from me within a day (or a weekend - i'll be offline a few weekends in the near future)... please let me know.
