TO ASK A QUESTION: If you have a question or need help with Office, please feel free to use the 'Click to Contact' link at the bottom of this page. You'll get a form that you can use to email a question to me. (I had been getting a ton of spam when accepting direct emails, so only emails that use this form will get through to me.)
Please be sure to mention the version of Office you are using when you send your question.
I answer all e-mails that I receive via this form, as long as they are polite :)
Since disabling comments on this site, I'm actually hearing from more of you with questions ... so, as it seems people prefer to email rather than comment, I'm going to leave comments disabled. As always, you can ask me any Office-related questions you have. If the question is outside of my expertise, I'll try to direct you to where you can get an answer.
Upcoming webcasts ... fresh, hot, and plenty to go around :)
Hi, everyone! Starting September 21st, I'll be doing a webcast every week through the first week of November. Most of these are 2007 Office sessions, with one Vista session in the middle just for fun :) Here's the lineup of what we'll be covering...
Note that most of the sessions are advanced (level 300) - not meaning your experience level with the 2007 versions, but with the programs being covered in general. So, if you're strong in Word 2003 and new to 2007, you'll be perfectly comfortable in a level 300 session. it is a good idea to have at least some familiarity with 2007 for the level 300 sessions, because I won't be taking time in those sessions to explain the new UI ... so they will move pretty fast.
9-21 - Formatting documents with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 (level 200)
9-28 - Customizing documents with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 (level 300)
10-5 - Find a new world of possibilities in Windows Vista (level 200)
10-12 - What's new for Word 2007 documents (level 300)
10 - 19 - Creating Excel 2007 charts (level 300)
10-26 - What's new for PowerPoint 2007 presentations (level 300)
11 - 2 - The Visio 2007 \ Excel 2007 connection (level 300) - data-based diagrams
The September Office sessions are already available for registration at www.microsoft.com/greattips
I'm also giving a live chat about managing metadata in Office 2007 documents on 9-19. Check that out here: http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/community/chats.mspx ... there's a typo at the moment that says this chat is on the 17th ... but I don't give chats on Sunday mornings - and guessing you wouldn't want to attend them ;-) So, please disregard - that is set for Tuesday the 19th.
Meanwhile, Happy Wednesday all!
