TO ASK A QUESTION: If you have a question or need help with Office, please feel free to use the 'Click to Contact' link at the bottom of this page. You'll get a form that you can use to email a question to me. (I had been getting a ton of spam when accepting direct emails, so only emails that use this form will get through to me.)
Please be sure to mention the version of Office you are using when you send your question.
I answer all e-mails that I receive via this form, as long as they are polite :)
Since disabling comments on this site, I'm actually hearing from more of you with questions ... so, as it seems people prefer to email rather than comment, I'm going to leave comments disabled. As always, you can ask me any Office-related questions you have. If the question is outside of my expertise, I'll try to direct you to where you can get an answer.
Thanks to the NY Word Legal Users Group!
Hi, everyone! I just got back from presenting the 2007 Office system to members of the NY WLUG this morning. First of all, I want to thank everyone who was there for being such a terrific, engaged audience -- it was great having a chance to talk with all of you.
I wanted to reiterate here some of the additional resources that I mentioned this morning. Some of this is listed in previous posts this week, but I thought I'd put it all together for easy reference:
2007 Office Beta site: www.microsoft.com/office/preview
From there:
- click 'get the beta' in the navigation pane to download or order the beta
- click 'Microsoft Office Beta Community' in the navigation pane to get to the articles, chats, and other content I mentioned.
- in that navigation pane, you'll also see a breakdown of programs where you can go for product overviews, demos, learning resources --lots of good stuff
Check out the Windows Vista website -- to learn about the upcoming Windows release -- there is a community there as well, with articles, chats, webcasts, etc.
For more on Vista - join my webcast next Wednesday (5-31) at 1pm NY time - it will be an introduction to features across Windows Vista that make it easier to get work done. Click here to register for that event.
Coming up in June, as mentioned, I will be giving 2 webcasts - one of which is on the new Office XML file formats. You can click here to register for that event.
This event will be on June 15th, at 12pm NY time
I'll have another Office 2007 webcast in July - more info to come on that one.
Also, click links in the navigation pane on this sit efor a list of a few of my favorite blogs by the Office product teams. As mentioned - there is surely no better source for 2007 Office info than the folks who are designing it. Also, when you go to any of their blogs - their links list many other blogs by Office product team members as well.
... and, for those of you who had not seen OneNote before -- if you want to try it, but don't have a machine on which you can install a beta --- download the free trial of OneNote 2003 right now. There are a few ways to get to it - here is the link to the OneNote Community home page, that includes a link to download a fully-functional OneNote 2003 trial (if you are testing the beta - you can download the 2007 OneNote beta from the beta site).
Happy Thursday, everyone!

Hello Stephanie,
I am glad to visit your blog today.I have been directed here when I was doing some tutorials on microsoft.com.I was therefore definetely not in your "this" morning presentation.I am trying to create work-plan for a youth program in a non-profit organization for the next one year.Do you have any suggestion on how I can go about that?I would truly appreciate your help.

Hi, Jeff,
Not sure what you mean by a work-plan ... can you tell me a bit more about what you need this to contain?
Best,
Stephanie
