TO ASK A QUESTION: If you have a question or need help with Office, please feel free to use the 'Click to Contact' link at the bottom of this page. You'll get a form that you can use to email a question to me. (I had been getting a ton of spam when accepting direct emails, so only emails that use this form will get through to me.)
Please be sure to mention the version of Office you are using when you send your question.
I answer all e-mails that I receive via this form, as long as they are polite :)
Since disabling comments on this site, I'm actually hearing from more of you with questions ... so, as it seems people prefer to email rather than comment, I'm going to leave comments disabled. As always, you can ask me any Office-related questions you have. If the question is outside of my expertise, I'll try to direct you to where you can get an answer.
PowerPoint 2003 Webcast Tomorrow!
Hi, everyone! Just a quick reminder to join me tomorrow (Friday) for a level 200 webcast on creating presentation graphics in PowerPoint.
The session will be 1 hour long, beginning at 12 noon Eastern, 9am Pacific time.
Here's the link to register:
Tips you can use today to create professional PowerPoint diagrams in no time
... as always, if you haven't attended a LiveMeeting session in awhile, please log in a few minutes early tomorrow in case LiveMeeting needs to update your installation. It's free, of course, but does take a few minutes.
And, if you have trouble with audio when you log in to the webcast, post a question in the Q&A panel in LiveMeeting asking for the dial-in number and the producer will post it back to you -- so that you can listen by phone.
Look forward to seeing you there! Meahwhile, happy Thursday! :)

I just watched your Live Meeting, but my problem is with WORD. I have a binder that has document protectors spiraled at the top of the page. (A Guets Refernce Book for Pateince) The first page is 4" tall and each additional page is 5/8'' longer. I want the footer to print as far to the bottom of the page as possible. When I'm in Print Layout view it looks fine. In Print Preview the footer is cut off. The Print command tells me it is out of bounds, do I want to fix it?
One of the pages may needs to be only 6" tall. But I need the 2" paragraph of text to start at the top, but the Footer needs to be at the very bootom so it can be seen in as a TAB (table of Contents) at the bottom.
Of the 10 documents only two will print with the page setup I have tried..Margin Top.5 Bottom .2
Left .5 Right .5
Paper Size 8.5
Height 4.63
Layout-- Header & Footer from edge .1
How can I use the Custom paper size and print on 8.5X11 paper and have the text start at predetermined spot 4.63 inches from the top and have the footer at the very bottom? I wil then cut the paper to fit in the document protectors.
Thanks
Stefan
