TO ASK A QUESTION: If you have a question or need help with Office, please feel free to use the 'Click to Contact' link at the bottom of this page. You'll get a form that you can use to email a question to me. (I had been getting a ton of spam when accepting direct emails, so only emails that use this form will get through to me.)
Please be sure to mention the version of Office you are using when you send your question.
I answer all e-mails that I receive via this form, as long as they are polite :)
Since disabling comments on this site, I'm actually hearing from more of you with questions ... so, as it seems people prefer to email rather than comment, I'm going to leave comments disabled. As always, you can ask me any Office-related questions you have. If the question is outside of my expertise, I'll try to direct you to where you can get an answer.
VBA Basics - Webcast TODAY!
Good morning! Just a quick reminder to please join me today for a webcast on the basics of using VBA for Office document production.
This is a level 300 webcast, assuming that you're an advanced Office user -- but NOT assuming prior VBA experience.
We'll spend much of the time in Word VBA, but will look at how to use a lot of the same information in PowerPoint and Excel as well. If you haven't tried working in the VB editor yet, you might be very pleasantly surprised at how easy it can be to save time, get information from your documents for production or troubleshooting, or even to extend the capabilities of the programs.
Using Simple VBA (Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications) Every Day Is Much Easier than You Might Think
The session starts at 9am Pacific, 12noon Eastern time and is 90 minutes long.
After the session, I'll also be posting all the samples I use today on this blog.
Note: if you have not attended a live webcast or other LiveMeeting event recently, you might want to log in a few minutes early in in case LiveMeeting prompts you to update your version. It's free, of course, but will take a few minutes. Also, if you have trouble hearing the webcast, post a request in the Question & Answer panel for the dial-in number ... the producer will post the toll-free number back to you in that panel, so that you can listen by phone.
Look forward to seeing you there ... happy Thursday!
